Create and schedule Reports
While TileView is best to follow whats going on now Reports are better when you want to compare performance over a longer period, review repeated questions, or deliver regular data to a team or external tool.
We are in "early access" mode at the moment. We are working close with some customers to beta-test this. And experience will improve during upcoming releases.
In case you experience issues or want to be part of early access please contact us on support@keytiles.com!
You have any cool feature ideas? Please ping us / send to ideas@keytiles.com ;-)

What Reports are good for
For example answering questions like the below:
- Which content / content areas (menu structure) performed best last week?
- Which traffic sources brought valuable visitors?
- Which campaigns created meaningful engagement?
- How did important events develop over time?
- Which report should my team receive every Monday morning?
It puts the focus for strategical analysis over a longer period of time like days, weeks or months.
Fully customizable
This is good no? But it comes with a price... Unlike TileView which comes mostly as is (and this way reducing learning curve a lot) Reports are different. This feature requires more learning curve from you as here you really need to start by answering the question(s): what I am curious about?
Once you know those questions AND also know a bit better Keytiles Reports capabilities, you can start creating Reports.
How to start?
Here are a few pointers.
- You could start here by understanding a bit better the mental model: Report setups, queries, and report blocks explains the basic concepts.
- Sit down and think it through with the team a bit: what KPIs are we curious about? Phrase your questions.
- Then don't wait more but action: Create your first report setup walks through a complete beginner example.
- Last but not least just know: you can clone and reuse working well reports too! Check Reuse report work to know more how.
Scheduling and integrations
Reports can be generated manually when you need an immediate result, or automatically on a schedule.
You even benefit more with integrations. And there are two ways to do this:
- Webhooks. When a report instance is generated, Keytiles can call your configured webhook endpoint passing over the Report instance, so the generated report data can continue into your own dashboards, data pipelines, or automation workflows.
- Via our Reporting API you have full control.
See Schedule and deliver reports for the full workflow.
Notifications
Whenever a new report (instance) is generated users who can view them receive a notification via email and within Keytiles messaging. So they will know about it became available.
If this disturbs them users can disable (or re-enable) to get notifications by themselves on a Report setup basis.
